These Peterson Families History Pages are in remembrance of our ancestors. We keep them alive by keeping them in our memories. They live as long as we remember. Our family reunions are not about one family. When we gather, it is to honor five distinct families and their branches. We celebrate and honor the Peterson, Jackson, Mack, Wakefield, and Connor families. Although the common thread that binds us is the Peterson blood, each family that is woven into our quilt is unique and has their own story and history that is worth knowing and sharing. These web pages will attempt to do that. Our common history starts in Arlington, Georgia during the late 1800s. At that time, the five families lived within short distances of each other and it is no wonder that the Peterson daughters grew up to marry sons of the Jackson, Wakefield, Mack, and Connor families.
