Note: I’ve had a difficult time figuring out the name of George Peter’s daughter.  Her name is illegible on many of the earlier Censuses. On the 1870 Census it is itemized as Mamerine.  I found a family tree on Ancestry.com that suggests that her name may be Maggie Rose or Margaret and that she married Charlie Harpe.  She tracks through on the 1880 Census as Masrene Harp, and on the 1900 Census Magusem Harp.

Note: Henry Patterson is the son of Henry and Mollie Peterson.  At some point in time his surname was changed.

Lists Allison Peterson 40 and wife Julia 37 and children Allison 16, George 13, Rosa Mae 8 and Dorothy Jean 5.

·        Their ages as listed may be incorrect. For example, Rosa Mae was born in 1930 and should be closer to 10 years of age.

·        Apparently Julia is Allison’s 2^nd wife since it is known that Alberta Byrd Peterson was deceased.

• This “Dorothy Jean” may not be the same “Dorothy” from the 1930 Census since the latter Dorothy would be about 13 and not 5. Additionally in 1940 the former Dorothy Peterson in living in the household of Aggie Blackshear.

Lists John Young 44 as head of house and wife Laura Young 42 and daughter Bessie Smith 18 and son-in-law John Smith 24 and Colester Peterson 18 and granddaughter Loretta Smith 3

• Colester Peterson (lodger) in living in the same household as his married brothers John Smith.

• Bessie Smith’s maiden name was Young.

INFORMATION

Research disclosed that Mollie Peterson's maiden name is Jordan and not Ingram as we were told.  Note that the names of the parents are the same as two of Mollie and Henry's children.

Mack Jordan 30 and wife Polley Jordan 32 and children Teana 15, Adicus 13, Mack 7, Sissie 3 and Laura 1.

Although they may be related, there is not enough information at this time to say that this family is related to the family of Mollie Jordan Peterson. However, on the Census this family appears within a couple of pages of Mollie Jordan’s family and of Henry Peterson’s family. They also have a son named Adicus.
