George Peterson and family on the US Federal Census
The earliest records we have of the Peterson family are found in the 1870 and 1880 US Federal Census. Before discovering this documentation, Henry and Molly Peterson were as far back as we knew. Fittingly, it was information provided by Henry and Molly in the 1900 Census that provided the necessary clues to trace the Peterson family back to George and his first wife, Martha and his second wife, Mary.
